Resicare Society of Calgary consists of a team of professionals who are dedicated and committed to providing comprehensive integrated and high quality support services to disabled individuals.

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Support worker to provide dedicated support for a pleasant young woman. Ideally, the provider would be a young couple or a single female without children, offering a calm and supportive environment.

The individual would prefer to attend her respite weekends in the NW or NE area. For accessibility and comfort, her bedroom and bathroom should be located on the main level.

She has degenerative osteoarthritis in her knees, which makes using stairs difficult. However, she is able to walk short distances independently.

This role involves assisting with community outings, daily activities. The ideal candidate will be skilled in working with individuals with developmental disabilities and excel in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Respite Rate: is $139.76/24hr shift

Start Date: April 17, 2025 – 2 weekends a month in your own home Fri-Sun.

A diploma or equivalent formal education in Rehabilitation Services, Social Services and 2-year experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities. A valid First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration certificate are required. A current police clearance check is REQUIRED UPON INTERVIEW. Candidate must drive and have a valid class 5 driver’s license with a 2 million liability.
